LEADERSHIP TO INSPIRE HOPE

Featuring Lydia Dody

Founder and Board Member, Hope Lives

February 2024

Lydia Dody, Founder & Board Member of Hope Lives, had a creative vision to initiate an organization to support and strengthen those affected by breast cancer by providing care, guidance, and education. Inspire Hope serves as a partner for those affected by breast cancer as they process through healing physically, mentally, and spiritually. She is the first to say that although she had the vision, it took a village to make such an organization a reality.

The vision for such an organization came from Lydia’s own battle with breast cancer in 2001 along with the experiences and struggles she faced with treatment. She received services through complementary care providers to ease some of the side effects of treatment and also allowed her to continue to persevere physically, psychologically, and emotionally.

Hope Lives works to provide free post diagnosis services to women in Northern Colorado. As an organization, they partner with local service providers in areas such as holistic, integrative, and natural medicine to offer products and support services that many health insurance companies do not usually cover.

The need for the work of an organization such as Inspire Hope is evident as statistically 400 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer each year in Weld and Larimer Counties of Colorado. As a Fort Collins business woman who battled breast cancer, Lydia is especially dedicated to serving Northern Colorado women who face similar challenges with their treatment. Lydia’s heart and mission in her work to support women in Northern Colorado through Hope Lives is an inspiring example of how individuals can utilize their experience to identify and fill in gaps in serving others and their communities.

WORKING WITH THE CHINESE MISSION MOVEMENT TO REACH UNREACHED PEOPLE GROUPS

Featuring Eugene Bach

Back to Jerusalem

February 2024

For over two decades, Eugene Bach, a pseudonym, has been working with the Chinese mission movement to reach unreached people groups for Christ in some of the most closed countries around the world. Through his work with Back to Jerusalem, essential support for Chinese missionaries is provided to missionaries serving in Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. This work often results in traveling more than 300 days a year for ministry, but has allowed Eugene Bach to be able to serve the global church and the Chinese Missionary community in an extraordinary way.

Back to Jerusalem is a movement of the Chinese church to evangelize to unreached peoples from the eastern provinces of China, westward towards Jerusalem, a vision that was birthed within the Chinese church in the 1920s. Since then, the churches in China have continued towards this goal at the great cost of suffering and of persecution. Back to Jerusalem partners with the Chinese church to evangelize in oppressed areas of Asia and also to train and send Chinese missionaries into the unreached regions of our world.

In addition to his work with Back to Jerusalem, Eugene Bach was trained in U.S. military special operations and served two tours in the Persian gulf and the Asia-Pacific region, primarily as a member of a rapid response team focused on counterterrorism and security.

Traveling with Chinese missionaries into closed nations has provided him with a unique perspective of global issues and spiritual revival across nations and cultures. Additionally, he has witnessed the result of oppression and persecution of the Christian Church around the world. This work has also resulted in innovation such as the development of a pill sized Bible that can project chapters of the Bible on a wall in a room and is more easily smuggled into closed countries. This work is vital for those in countries such as China where the government heavily regulates and watches the Christian church, even restricting the purchase of a Bible to those sold by the government.

Due to his work and experience, Eugene Bach is a sought after speaker and author on issues relating to persecution and mission work around the world. His books have provided insight into the plight of the underground church in China, North Korea, Iran and other nations and people groups.

Eugene Bach’s work with the Chinese Christian Church to reach the lost is an inspiration and an example of innovative leadership in service to the persecuted church.
