CCU IVy Women Prayer Retreat
The IVy Women of CCU meet each month to pray for God's continued favor on Colorado Christian University. Members gather on our Lakewood campus to pray for our students, staff, faculty, and leadership. On April 2, CCU is hosting the IVy Women Prayer Retreat, allowing time and space for prayer and reflection.
Colorado State University ACT Human Rights Film Festival
Spring 2022 marks Colorado State University's 7th ACT Human Rights Film Festival in Fort Collins, Colorado. Connecting at the intersection of art and social justice, ACT Human Rights Film Festival elevates stories that challenge and inspire. G.L.O.B.A.L. Justice will be presenting a film and hosting the GLBL MRKT. ACT will take place in-person from March 31 - April 3, 2022 and will present an encore virtual festival from April 4-10, 2022.
MOBL GLBL MRKT at Mosaic Church
Mosaic Church in Greeley, Colorado, hosted the MOBL GLBL MKRT on Sunday, December 12th at both their Spanish and English services. It was a great chance to connect with a wonderful congregation and share information about gifts+justice worldwide!

Colorado Christian University’s IVy Women hosted their Fall Brunch on November 13, 2021 to support student scholarships. This year’s event featured the theme of Freedom in the Narrow and included a Faculty Panel discussion with Dean Mellani Day, Prof. Megan Devore, Prof. Susan Pahlau, Affiilate Prof. Sosamma Samuel-Burnett, and Dean Deborah Scheffel., moderated by Christina Sweeting.

We celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month to recognize the achievements and contributions of Hispanic American champions who have inspired others to achieve success.

1st Annual Loveland Juneteeth Celebration
Loveland’s 1st Annual Juneteenth Celebrate recognized and celebrated the importance of Juneteenth in US history; to inform and educate the public about the history of the day; provide entertainment by a variety of established and emerging black / BIPOC artists; improve community relations & create opportunities for conversations; vendor booths for black, BIPOC owned businesses and their allies; community resource booths for the public - voter registration, COVID vaccination information, free food resources for help during the COVID recovery period, etc.; networking; children's pavilion for games and activities.

National Day of Prayer of Northern Colorado 2021
National Day of Prayer Northern Colorado was held on Thursday, May 6, 2021, from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Boardwalk Park in Windsor. The event drew many community members from the region for prayer on the theme of Love, Life, & Liberty. Presenters were Lynn Johnson, Pastor Jim Walters, and Pastor Johnny Square with a benediction by Sosamma Samuel-Burnett. Thanks to Ken G Summers and Pastor Dan Schmidt for their leadership in organizing this event.

National Day of Prayer: Pray God's Glory Across the Earth
The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held on the first Thursday of May, inviting people of all faiths to pray for the nation. It was created in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress, and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman. We at G.L.O.B.A.L. believe that prayer is an important part of doing justice in our world, and so we participate in local, state, and national events from year to year, providing our biblical, nonpartisan voice for justice in this sector.

Project Self-Sufficiency: Bring the Power Luncheon
Project Self-Sufficiency held its annual Bring the Power luncheon in support of educational scholarships and other supports for single parents in need. G.L.O.B.A.L. staff were among the 400 community members attending.

The Centennial Institute hosted Sen. Rick Santorum who discussed proposed parental leave legislation and other policy priorities. The event was hosted at Audi-Denver. G.L.O.B.A.L. President Sosamma Samuel-Burnett and Board Director Ken Summers were among the attendees.
Confronting Hate & Violent Extremism in the U.S., presented by the University of Denver
The University of Denver hosted Confronting Hate &Violent Extremism in the U.S., a community forum presented by CELL and the Denver Post on February 13. Featured panelists included U.S. Attorney Jason Dunn, US Dept of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Elizabeth Neumann, Free Radicals Project Founder Christian Picciolini, & Anti-Defamation League Sr. VP George Selim.
Women Give Annual Luncheon
Woman Give hosted their annual luncheon in support of scholarships for single mothers. The event brought together 1070 community members. Speakers included Dr. Joyce McConnell, President of Colorado State University, and recent scholarship recipients. Thanks to table host Kim Fisher of Vision Catalyst for hosting our GLOBAL CO team.
2020 Northern Colorado Human Trafficking Symposium
This premier and distinctive symposium, envisioned by a team of passionate women, was created and launched in 2018 by the College of Business at Colorado State University in partnership with the Richardson Foundation.
The inaugural symposium brought to the CSU campus hundreds of service providers, community members, professionals and students. It also hosted leading national and international activists and survivor leaders in the anti-trafficking world and was featured in major media outlets in Colorado and the nation. This year’s symposium continued with the first year’s excellence.
This year’s keynote presenters included Megan Lundstrom of Free Our Girls, Ruth Dearnsley of Stop the Traffik, and Utah Attorney General Sean Reyes. The event included many presentations in 3 tracks and was attended by 700+ advocates, students, and community members. G.L.O.B.A.L. was pleased to collaborate on this event as a sponsor and Sosamma Samuel-Burnett as emcee.

Georgetown University School of Foreign Service Centennial Celebration
The Georgetown University School of Foreign Service Centennial Celebration included a Saturday full of sessions on key global topics with international experts, most notably Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, Amb. Melan Veveer, George Tenent, Gen. George Casey, and Sec. Madeline Albright. The event concluded with a Gala event featuring keynote presenter President Bill Clinton. The celebration weekend gathered 1500+ alumni representing leadership and service throughout many sectors and locations worldwide.
Zonta International Centennial Anniversary
Zonta International celebrated its Centennial Anniversary on November 8. In commemoration, the Zonta Club of Fort Collins featured an exhibit "Inspirational Women: Rising from Adversity" at the Global Village Museum.
LoCo Thinkerfest 2019
ThinkerFest was an all-day event for the public, including LoCo Think Tank chapter members, partners, key leaders, area business owners and key deciders, and entrepreneurs seeking innovative and applicable strategies to empower personal and business growth.
ThinkerFest featured two tracks of highly-interactive sessions from expert speakers in the areas of leadership, marketing, and development - all focused on personal and professional balance. There was also a lunch keynote and a mini health fair to encourage whole-person alignment!
By attending ThinkerFest, people were inspired to apply new strategies that contribute to business development, connected to a community of like-minded business owners and entrepreneurs, and uncovered areas where they may have opportunities to improve their performance in their personal and professional roles.
