Featuring Lacy Jo, Vocalist/Guitarist
Lacy Jo is a vocalist and guitarist who had deep roots in the Eastern Plains of Colorado. She grew up in a farming and ranching family raising cattle and horses. There is no place she loves more than the open space of their ranch. With much of her family being professional cowboys, she naturally loves the cowboy lifestyle.
But her music has allowed her to expand beyond her cowboy roots and reach many other areas and communities. Lacy started her life as an athlete, playing competitive volleyball for many years. A serious injury led her to change her path to music. In doing so, she intentionally forged a musical style that does not fit one particular category. She doesn’t limit herself to one genre. Instead she writes from her heart. She feels her job is to write music that is honest and true. That honesty and truth has resonated with audiences in diverse settings from bars and festivals, to churches and special events
From the beginning of her musical career, she has had one focus and mission: to inspire and encourage. Through her music she hopes to reassure others that they are not alone in their battles. She wants to encourage those who are reaching for their “big dream.” Many of her audiences have been moved by her music so much that individuals have reached out to her after concerts to share their struggles and be encouraged by Lacy’s support.
Lacy is especially motivated to provide support for the purpose of suicide prevention. When her own family experienced the loss of a loved one to suicide, she set out to provide music that would inform the community about this concern, and also provide encouragement and resources to those who are struggling. Her heart is to share her story, her music, and this encouragement across the state and country.
G.L.O.B.A.L. Justice was pleased to feature Lacy Jo at our 7th Anniversary Celebration. And we are looking forward to partnering with Lacy Jo for an upcoming university concert series on suicide prevention.
