The year 2020 marks the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment, guaranteeing and protecting women’s constitutional right to vote. This historic centennial offers an unparalleled opportunity to commemorate a milestone of democracy and to explore its relevance to the issues of equal rights today. The Women’s Vote Centennial Initiative, a collaboration of women centered institutions, organizations, and scholars from across the US, works to ensure that this anniversary, and the 72-year fight to achieve it, are commemorated and celebrated throughout the United States.

The Sexual Assault Victim Advocate Center’s (SAVA) mission is to provide crisis intervention, advocacy, and counseling for individuals affected by sexual violence. In addition, SAVA provides prevention programs through education and community outreach. Beginning as a rape crisis hotline with the Larimer Center for Mental Health, SAVA is not an independent non-profit with the only rape crisis centers in Larimer and Weld Counties in Colorado. Each year, they provide support to over 600 victims of sexual violence and education to 1,000 community members and over 4,00 students.

Rescue:Freedom International is an anti-trafficking organization whose mission is to empower the rescue and restoration of those in sexual slavery and prevent exploitation. Their faith in Jesus and the Biblical call to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly is the inspiration of their work on behalf of those who have been exploited through human trafficking and slavery. They do this through programs that rescue and restore; prevent and protect; and equip and engage through education.

The Global Fund for Women envisions a world where every woman and girl is strong, safe, powerful and heard. Their mission is to serve as a global champion for the human rights of women and girls, using their networks to find and support the work of women who are making a difference in their communities for women’s rights. The Global Fund for Women was founded by four women who believed that the advancement of women’s rights were key to social, economic, and political change globally.
