We had a great morning of worship, prayer, and friendship at Colorado State University’s Canvas Stadium for the National Day of Prayer, an annual event where leaders of Larimer County pray for our city, county, state, country, and world.
The National Day of Prayer of Northern Colorado hosted 400 community members for prayer. This year’s keynote speaker was CSU football coach Mike Bobo. G.L.O.B.A.L Board Treasurer and Fort Collins City Councilmember Ken Summers served as co-chair with Dan Schmidt of Foundations Church, and Sosamma Samuel-Burnett served on the Planning Committee and provided the closing prayer/benediction. The National Day of Prayer events in CO continued in Denver at the steps of the State Capitol, and featured prayers from many church, government, & community leaders, including Sen. Kevin Lundberg and Denver Mayor Michael Hancock. Rex Tonkins, G.L.O.B.A.L. Board Director and NDP State coordinator, led this special gathering with 200+ community members.
