Advocating for Anti-Semitism

Featuring Dr. Renee Cohn Jones

Dr. Renee Cohn Jones serves the Northern Colorado community in a number of ways and in a number of contexts. She is the Founder of Helping Parents Parent, a resource to parents in Northern Colorado to develop better relationships with their children and create a happier family. In addition to this work, she serves as Vice President of Philanthropy of the National Charity League in Fort Collins. She serves as the Director of Education at Temple Or Hadash and is an Advising Member of the Presidential Task Force on Jewish Inclusion and the Prevention of Antisemitism at Colorado State University. In each of these roles, Dr. Renee Cohn Jones has been a leader and educator for anti-Semitism and related issues in Northern Colorado.

As an Advising Member of the Task Force, Dr. Renee is actively working with the Poudre School District and the City of Fort Collins to move forward with their work to prevent anti-Semitism and to have a greater awareness of their Jewish community. She is also committed to helping Colorado State University better understand issues of anti-Semitism both on the University Campus and in the surrounding Fort Collins Community.

Dr. Cohn Jones received a BA in Psychology and MS in Education from the University of Rochester and an MA and PsyD from the University of Hartford. While studying, she was elected to the Executive Board of the American Psychological Association Graduate Student Division and served as the liaison to the National Council of Schools and Programs in Professional Psychology. 

In addition to this work, Dr. Cohn-Jones served as a Hebrew School Teacher for 4th, 6th, and 7th grade in Reform and Conservative synagogues for over 15 years and started a program for teenagers.
